Gearing up for a busy weekend this weekend! Today begins my Christmas mini sessions and we are kicking it off with a bang! 12 little cuties are due in today and a full family session tomorrow! Makes for a busy weekend!! In the meantime though, I thought I would post some recent accordian albums! I know alot of people really like seeing examples of some of the products that they see on the pricing guide. Tonights blog post belongs to a product showcase. With all the sessions that have taken place this summer, there have been alot of awesome products ordered! One of which is the metallic standout! This beauty here is an 11×14 black and white standout, printed with a metallic finish and complete with silver edging. The metallic is gorgeous in a black and white! 11×14 is the smallest size that you can get in a standout but they are available in much larger sizes for even greater impact!

{Yummy Wedding Albums}-Pittsburgh Area Wedding Photography

Last week, I got in my last wedding album of the 2010 wedding session and I had to take some product shots of it for you guys to see! The shots don’t really do it justice! The genuine plush leather and thick pages are just so pretty! I knew that I would like this design so much, I ordered a studio sample with a different cover!

These albums here are 10×10’s. The Black is a standard album, and the white with brown trim and a metal inset photo is a Armore cover just in case you are matching up to the pricing guide!

{Press Wedding Albums}-Pittsburgh Wedding Photography

I love wedding albums. I think that they are wonderful keepsakes to have and leaf thru. I, personally, am not one to print 300 images from a disk and make my own album and really love it. It is always one of those–I will get around to it–things that you never quite make your way around to. At least in my house that is! Some couples want a keepsake album but do not wish to pay the premium leather price. And while I ADORE the leather bound albums, I can completely understand that perspective, and think I may have found my alternative!

These albums here at the same size as the premium albums, and come with a custom padded cover for a richer feel.

The pages are slightly textured.

Available in all the pretty simple designs as the traditional albums…

These albums will be available for purchase for wedding clients. These same albums are the 10×10 Session Albums for portrait clients on the product list as well!

{New Look for the New Year}-Belle Vernon Area Childrens Photography

I am very excited about the changes that I am starting to implement now and to come! First off, a little bit of a new look. I wanted something bright and happy but nothing overpowering to take away from the images. I am still working on finalizing the blog design so in the next few days, you may see some final tweaks!

I also updated the wedding and portrait site with all new images and a new look to coordinate. There is an awesome splash page coming soon that will link everything together but until then, if you would like to check them out, feel free to do so at www.danamonticelliphotography.com, and www.danamonticelliphotographyweddings.com.

One thing I am VERY excited about is the online scheduling system! If you visit the website, and click on the “Book Your Session” tab, you will be prompted to go thru the steps to confirm your session. Super easy to find the most convenient time for you and your family! Right now, the schedule is open thru May. At the beginning of March, I will extend it into the summer months with more “outdoors” hours (or near sunrise or sunset for those pretty sunlit pictures!) I will annouce when I extend it so that way, if you were planning a late spring or summer session, you can go in and book a convenient time. I would highly recommend booking early if a particular day or date works best for you! With the increase in weddings this year, weekend session availablity will be a bit more limited than it was in the past! This is perfect to scope out your perfect day and book early though!!

{Product Showcase: The difference between the frame options available}-Pittsburgh Area Family Photography

I know product shots make it some much easier for people to visualize the difference between different products offered so I am working hard to remember to take these shots before the items get in the hands of their owners!!

This coming year, there will be two different frame options available to you for purchase!! They are both equally adorable though slightly different so I thought I would do a post highlighting both options side by side!

The first frames are called “ornate” frames in your ordering gallery and they are available in numerous shapes and sizes!! All colors are slightly distressed, and there are a few different shapes available.

These frames below are labeled “whimsical” frames, and they too come in all sorts of shapes and sizes. You are choose a different color for the inset and outside frame or pick the same shade for a look with a little more depth. Also slightly distressed, the main difference between these two frames is the outside perimeter. The whimsical frames are a standard frame in shape with an insert attachment to add some whimsy while the ornate have a much more curvier appearance!

Hope that is helpful when making your desicion!! Samples are available to see at the studio! Trust me, if you see these in person, you will love them!

{Product Showcase: Custom Frames}-Pittsburgh Area Family Photography

I have highlighted the whismical frame design before on the blog but today I wanted to showcase its counterpart! These frames, with their rounded (as opposed to wavvy) insets, are a little more grown up feeling than the whismical ones so popular for children. They are slighty distressed to add a little character to the frame and come in a variety of fun colors!!

This beauty here is a 16×20 ivory frame with a chocolate inset!
