Today marks the last wedding day of the year for me! I have no idea what I am going to with a little less busy Saturday’s until later winter when they start back up! I still cannot believe that 2012 is already booked for wedding availablity! I never dreamed that I would be that booked out for weddings because I wasn’t even sure that I wanted to do them! Now, I cannot imagine not doing them at all!

I had the chance to be a part of SUCH a beautiful wedding a few weekends go! Not only were the details thought out to perfection but the couple was gorgeous! Makes for a pretty fun day for me! Weddings like this are the exact reason why I adore shooting a few weddings a year! Sure, I love the babies and families and shoot mostly that realm of things but I absolutely cannot imagine shooting any weddings now! I really really look forward to the 12-15 I have been doing a year!

And to top it off–I absolutely love this location! I have been to this spot a few times for engagement photos and this was my second time back for a wedding reception. If you aren’t familiar with them and are looking for a unique, rustic wedding venue, you must check them out!

I must be close to if not the worst narrow-it-downer when it comes to narrowing it down what to put up for wedding sneak peeks! I really struggle on how many to include! I usually start by wanting to include like half the wedding and then I come to the realization that it would take everyone forever and a day for the page to load if I did that! LOL. This wedding was certainly no exception! Such a lovely couple these two are and I was honored to be a part of such a special day for them!

I have three weddings that haven’t made it to the blog yet because Fall has been so busy! Look for those coming up in the next few weeks!!

Well-today was what I consider a success! Loads of galleries just about finished, and this beautiful wedding started!! October is such a whirlwind month! I cannot believe that we are half way thru!! Feeling very productive today!! Three galleries going out to their owners, almost finished editting this wedding you see featured below, orders packaged up, CD’s burnt, etc! Pretty good if you ask me! AND crazy enough but as of today, I am now completely booked for weddings for next year! Hard to wrap my brain around really but keeping with my desire to only do one or two a month, I am officially booked! Thanks so much for everyone’s support!!

{Day After Session…}-Pittsburgh Area Wedding and Trash the Dress Photographer

I LOVE these types of sessions! Seriously love them! Some people call them Trash the Dress session but I am considering changing the title on how I refer to them because I think that “Day After” sessions might be more fitting! Sure, some do actually trash their dress but Day After Sessions are perfect for couples that would like to get a couple different looks from their bride and groom portraits. Sometimes, the day of your actual wedding doesn’t permit for a wide variety of locations for shoots because of the time frame before the reception. These sessions are perfect and such a awesome idea to have an excuse to wear your beautiful dress again!

Take this gorgeous couple for example! Their wedding–beautifully located at a country club on the golf course. Obviously downtown Pittsburgh wasn’t an option for a photoshoot. So a week or two after the wedding, they got dresses back up and headed down for some completely different types of portraits. So fun if you ask me!

So this is going to be one huge post!! As if my wedding posts aren’t always big but this one may take the cake!! What a beautiful day for an absolutely gorgeous wedding! All the details were laid out to perfection. I love it when brides really want to dedicate some time to get ready shots! I think that they are so important to setting the stage to a beautiful story.

The ceremony–the perfect church setting!

The bride and groom portraits–some of my very favorites! I do a lot of rural bride/groom portraits so when Kelli told me about her ideas, I was super excited! She was looking for some a little more urban, and I was so excited about the locations that we scouted out!

And the reception was held at the PPA, a beautiful ballroom and a perfect ending to a beautiful day!
