Oh my goodness! Isn’t this little swan princess just adorable?! She recently visited our studio for her first birthday cake smash! What a little doll!

We get a lot of inquiries about first birthday sessions! While cake smash sessions are fun – it isn’t required! About half of our first birthday sessions include a cake smash at the end! But if you are considering one, it’s good to know that the entire session isn’t the cake smash! In a traditional session we have multiple setups for the birthday, connected to a birthday theme if requested, and we typically end with the cake smash! This allows for a lot of variety in your gallery full of sweet photos, and some without the messy fun of the smash! Some people prefer an outfit change for the “smash” part of the session and others prefer to keep to a single birthday outfit! Again, totally your preference!

The amazingly talented Caitlin from Katie’s Cookie Jar in Perryopolis has been providing our cakes for our cake smashes and she does a fabulous job!
